Dr Neil Dickens is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered with the British Psychological Society, adhering to their standards of conduct, performance and ethics. He draws on extensive experience within private practice, the National Health Service and higher education, assisting trainee Doctoral psychologists in their personal and professional development.

Dr Neil draws upon his research interests including addiction and dependency issues, parental attachment, men’s issues, sexuality and adverse childhood experiences. He works principally with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic therapeutic interventions working across all age ranges, short and long term and with individuals, couples and families. He works in person, online and via telephone call with a client caseload based in London, across the UK and abroad.

Dr Neil has worked in charitable organisations, most notably those supporting victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. Within the NHS, he has worked in specialist drug and alcohol clinics as well as in a GP setting.  He has also held the position of psychologist within CNWL's Club Drug Clinic working with private patients. His clinical skills and experience include working with anxiety, depression and OCD presentations, bereavement and life adjustment, family, marriage and relationship conflict, personality disorders as well as better management of feelings and mood on a day-to-day basis.

Dr Neil worked extensively in commerce for over twenty years, both in the UK and US. As a result he brings a wealth of understanding to the corporate sector working to support individuals therapeutically in their career challenges ahead. Having completed the British Psychological Society course in Aviation Psychology, he has also worked clinically with pilots and their careers.​

For several years Dr Neil produced and presented a Los Angeles based radio show. He is a member of The Screen Actors Guild of America and American Federation of Television & Radio Artists as well as Equity UK.  Dr Neil's podcast is soon to be made available on all major platforms.  He has recently been made an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
